Mahā Śivarātri kīrtan

Shivaratri kirtan cover eng.png

Mahāśivarātri, literally "the great night of Shiva", is an annual festival in the Hindu calendar that marks a remembrance of overcoming darkness and ignorance in life and the world. It is celebrated annually on the night of the new moon, the dark moon, at the end of winter. Unlike the majority of Hindu celebrations, which take place during the day, Mahāśivarātri is celebrated during the night. It's a somewhat solemn festival, with much introspection and meditation. This is what we will explore deeply in the Shiva Experience on the 18th.

Sunday the 19th, we'll do a kirtan dedicated to Shiva. Kirtan is a "concert" in call-and-response and it's an incredible experience. Chanting in community is a powerful act and can help us to regulate our emotions, our mood, and our mind —in addition to having benefits for our health. Singing together, we enter in communion and the vibration of your voice is made stronger by joining with the voices of the group.

This event is open to everyone (no previous experience needed!) and is made possible through your contribution, which you can make in cash or through Bizum.

We ask for your help spreading the word so this event can reach everyone that might be interested.
